ABOUT

Welcome! Thanks for stopping by.

Conservation Storytelling is an independent platform that was established to share stories about conservation – mostly around Africa. Our aim is to share the stories of diverse voices from the fields of conservation, so that they can better inspire viewers and listeners to get involved and take action in promoting the preservation of indigenous knowledge, the conservation of our wildlife, our wild places, and our traditions and ancient cultures.

People. Culture. Wildlife. Landscapes.

sharing stories from diverse voices. inspiring change.

Who we are:  Through a combination of film, photography and writing, a large body of  our work involves telling the stories of conservation organisations (see below).

Why we started Conservation Storytelling: When we’re in the field, we so often come across inspiring people, groups and initiatives that may not be directly related to our work on the ground, but that inspire us so much that we wish they were. We wanted a home for these stories, so that they could be seen, shared, and hopefully do more on a website than jotted down in a notebook, or gathering dust on a hard drive.

So we founded Conservation Storytelling, becoming our own editors, curating our own stories, with the idea that we could share these stories truthfully and with spontaneity – our own “passion project” – 100% independent and fuelled by the stories that matter to us.

At the moment this platform is entirely self-funded and unless clearly stated, no one that appears on Conservation Storytelling has paid to be here. We’re only just beginning and we look forward to sharing more of our projects here with you!
